From the people who brought you the Loft Classics series comes Garage Classics, a pretty well-known NY boot series that focuses on compiling gems inspired by the the legendary Paradise Garage and the selections dropped by Larry Levan and friends. If you don't already have these cuts on 12" this is a great way to stock up on serious disco heat for the dancefloor. Volume 5 packs more disco heat with the Trammps "Disco Party" taking up the entire A-side on 45. Skip the beginning vocal segment and head straight for the break... it's a monster! "Dance, everybody dance!" Can't resist it. Flipside features the sophisticated Sister Sledge cut "Lost In Music" as well as the coked up synth workout "Hitman" by Chantal Curtis. All winners for the nice price. Recommended.
