Overview

Better known for his new jazz outfit Truby Trio, Rainer Trueby has been putting out some interesting dance records recently on Compost (check his minimal Roy Ayers tribute "Ayers Rock"). This single might be his best thus far. Teaming up with Motor City Drum Ensemble, the duo concocts an impressive take on 90s house ("Jeck"). Think Wolf+Lamb / Soul Clap. For Compost minimal heads, check the Marcus Worgull dub version. The best might be saved for last, with "Welcome To Our World," a Roy Ayers-influenced jazz-house stomper. Recommended.
