Supreme DJ/Record digger Kon (of Kon & Amir/Off Track fame) joins the ranks of Hands Of Time GOLD with the Michael Jackson-sampling slow disco burner "Sunlight." This one comes hot on the heels of smokin' edits from Dimitri From Paris and Social Disco Club, but unlike those other 12"s, this one is actually a LIVE rework! Sure it samples all of 2 syllables from "Rock With You," but the rest of this groove is played by live musicians (credited here as his Gang), including a certain Tom "Disco" Noble on guitar! The result breathes new life into a certified dancefloor classic by giving it a fresh mid-tempo disco boogie feel. I'm sure Quincy would approve. Recommended.
