Austin's Pure X (formerly known as Pure Ecstasy) re-release their early 7" tracks on a single remastered 12" vinyl on the Acephale/Light Lodge labels. Anyone that digs shoegaze or lo-fi rock and psych pop would do well to check out this release (and anything else Pure X puts out). Check the full extended version of "You're In It Now" (previously shortened by a couple minutes on 45), the previously unreleased "Back Where I Began," and dreamy the "DWLDWD" and "Untitled" to hear what these hazy Texans are all about. Limited pressing of 500 on beautiful black and white blended vinyl. Recommended.
