Overview

Factory Floor has been making waves in the underground scene for a minute (remixes/remixers include Optimo, Gavin Russom, Throbbing Gristle, and Joy Divison's Stephen Morris!), and now make their debut on DFA for their most dance-y release to date. Though FF often get the "post-industrial" label attached to them, "Two Different Ways" has a minimalist house vibe that's squarely aimed for the dancefloor. Check the mesmerizing synth lines that drive the track with an old school acid house feel, while Nik Colk's haunting vocals breathe life into the groove. As the title states, the track is literally done in two different ways, and for the second way, Factory Floor flip the arrangement, going full force from the start for more of a driving instrumental feel. Recommended.
