Beatnuts sample source on 7" ! Hip-hop heads will recognize Dizzy Gillespie's "Matrix" as the sample for Beatnuts' "World Famous," but the track holds its own as a groove jazz masterpiece originally released on underground NY jazz label, Perception. The original is highly sought after in digger circles, but is available here on the teaser 7" for BBE's upcoming Perception/Today retrospective. Flipside features another groovin' jazz rarity, this time by Brazilian singer Astrud Gilberto, with a cover of Jorge Ben's "Take It Easy My Brother Charlie."
