Another classic NYC repressing, this combo of tracks really makes no sense 'cept that they's all funky, so who's complaining? This is a good value for your record sheckel - the Blackbyrds classic "Rock Creek Park" alone will run you $20. And you need this track, no shit. We already saved you $14 and likely gotten you some DJ groupies. It's almost like you should owe us $14. But we're good people, so let you off easy and let you have four more klassiks. George Duke's "I Want You For Myself" will endear you to the older black folks, and is a great soulful disco cut to boot. And not one but two Teddy Pendergrass joints, the Phillytastic funk-fest "The More I Get, The More I Want", and his disco banger "You Can't Hide From Yourself" - with the brilliantly logical next line, "everywhere you go - there you are!" Both tracks are prime Teddy, with great Philly International production & arrangements. And lastly, you have the disco-fied gospel track "I Got It."(a "Best Of Nipsey Russell LP goes to the nerd who can identify the artist for this track).
