For the 02 Stick, Phonon takes their popular SMB-02 Subtonic Monitor Basic Headphones and transforms them into a mono stick style DJ headphone. The stick or "lollipop" headphone is popular for house and dance music DJ's with roots that go back to the 80's Paradise Garage, and even the 70's and 60's when DJs would use converted telephone receivers as headphones. This model offers the same high quality sound reproduction as their standard headphone counter parts, but with mono sound through one ear cup that combines the left and right channels. With custom concept drivers designed by Phonon's audiophile inventor (a 40 year veteran in the specialty audio field), and Isao Kumano (an incredibly talented and highly-respected mastering engineer) the Stick 02 is a high end stick headphone for the most discerning DJs.
